Salary Return Filing

Form 24Q is the quarterly TDS return filed by employers for tax deducted on salaries paid to their employees. It is mandatory for every employer who deducts TDS on employee salaries to file this return accurately and within the due dates. Filing Form 24Q is not just a compliance requirement — it helps maintain trust, provides transparency, and ensures that employees receive their correct tax credit.
1. What is Form 24Q?
Form 24Q is filed by an employer to report the TDS deducted on salary payments to the Income Tax Department. It includes both salary details and tax deductions made during each quarter. It is filed quarterly and must be submitted even if no TDS was deducted in that period (in some cases).
2. Who Needs to File Form 24Q?
Any employer — including companies, LLPs, partnerships, NGOs, and individual business owners — who pays a salary that crosses the taxable limit is required to deduct TDS and file Form 24Q under Section 192 of the Income Tax Act.
3. Structure of Form 24Q
Form 24Q consists of two annexures:
Annexure I: Contains challan details and employee-wise TDS information for the quarter.
Annexure II: Includes a detailed breakup of salary paid and deductions claimed (filed in Q4 for the full year).
4. Data Accuracy Is Crucial
Incorrect PANs, salary break-up errors, or mismatched challans can result in defaults or notices from the Income Tax Department. We ensure accurate computation of income, TDS, HRA, Section 80C deductions, professional tax, and more, so the return is 100% accurate.
5. Our Filing Process
We provide end-to-end filing support:
Salary structuring and payroll validation
PAN verification and employee KYC checks
Monthly TDS deduction calculation
Challan generation (Form 281)
Preparation and validation using NSDL RPU & FVU
Filing return through TIN-FC or online platform
Downloading and delivering Form 16
6. Form 16 Generation
Once Form 24Q is filed, we generate Form 16 (Part A & B) for each employee. Part A is downloaded from the TRACES portal, and Part B (annexure) is prepared with salary, deduction, and tax computation. This certificate is essential for employees’ ITR filing.
7. Due Dates for Filing Form 24Q
Quarter 1 (April–June): 31st July
Quarter 2 (July–September): 31st October
Quarter 3 (October–December): 31st January
Quarter 4 (January–March): 31st May
We track and alert you well in advance of every deadline.
8. Penalty for Late Filing
A delay in filing Form 24Q attracts a fee of ₹200/day under Section 234E, and other penalties may apply for non-filing or incorrect filing. We take complete responsibility to file on time and avoid such costs.
9. Secure and Confidential Filing
Your salary data is sensitive. We use encrypted systems and secured portals for document sharing, filing, and certificate generation. We maintain full confidentiality of your employee and payroll records.
10. Revisions and Correction Returns
If you’ve filed an incorrect Form 24Q earlier, we also assist in revising the return. We update employee details, rectify PANs, modify TDS amounts, and ensure the correction is reflected in Form 26AS and Form 16.
